"Project Mantua and its flavours on the road"…stems from a wish to make Mantua known outside the province.

It is a travelling event the aim of which will be to promote Mantua and the different ways of discovering its nature, culture and food and wines. The public where the events will be held will have the opportunity to purchase products recommended by consortiums that protect these local items and obtain information regarding the types of activities that can be carried out in the Mantuan area.

The initiative aims to highlight specialty products and small local businesses known for their excellence particularly within the boundaries of the territory. It will be a chance to discover our traditions, history, lakes and countryside, to get an idea of the splendours of the Gonzaga and the culture of "Virgil", to appreciate the excellence of our produce and cooking and, in general, to entice potential visitors to sample our heritage.

The Commune of Mantua, responsible for the initiative, will be organising 5 yearly events which will each involve different towns.
