National Fair "Salami e salumi"
Held in the ancient cellars of the Ducal Palace and in the piazzas of the
historic centre, this fair offers a complete panorama of Italian
pork-butchery products. The idea came from the peculiarity of the
Mantuan territory, where the manufacture and trade of pork products is one of
the major sources of income in its economy. From here came the idea of extending
the event to all national production so as to present the many specialities
which here are still unknown.
Besides the fair, there will be other special events such as guided tastings,
meetings and educational projects, and the first competition "Concorso
sensoriale del salame mantovano".
