'IL PANE, I SUOI LUOGHI, LE SUE CITTA' (BREAD, ITS PLACES AND
TOWNS) The event "Il Pane, i suoi luoghi, le sue
città" promotes the values of home-baked bread and the cultural
identity, tourist business and production of the different areas as seen through
their different kinds of local bread. The aim is to illustrate the history of
local bread-making, a return to real flavours and a healthy way of
eating.
This interesting fair takes place among the squares and buildings
in the historic centre, with bread-making classes for adults and children,
bread-making demonstrations by local bakers, tasting events with the help of an
expert, an exhibition of typical regional bread and associated initiatives
involving local shops.
The event, dedicated to our oldest source of
nutrition, lasts for three days and provides an insight into the different kinds
of bread to be found in all corners of Italy.
